South Coast Surf Hot Spot

Warner Beach is also known as 'Baggies Beach' (thanks to the story of a surfer, Frank Gray, losing his baggies while surfing back in the day) and can be found along the South Coast neighbouring Amanzimtoti.

'Baggies Beach' is one of the surfers favourite spots and so became host to the Baggies Surf Pro Competition which welcomes International legends who crave the excitement of these waves. Locals not only come her to surf, but also to swim, enjoy the natural tidal pool which is perfect for some fun snorkelling or just to sit and watch the sun go down.

The long sandy beach is great for long walks on the beach and chilling in the sun watching the kite surfers. According to locals, your beach experience is not complete until you have enjoyed the best Surfer Special Sandwiches from the beach Kiosk!

Lifeguards are on duty during the summer months when the beach gets busy. 'Baggies Beach' also pulls the crowds during the Sardine Run, June to August, when visitors flock to the beach to witness the annual phenomenon of the migrating sardines along the south coast.
