Mingerhout Dam in Northern Region, Kruger National Park, Limpopo

Mingerhout dam is located on the S47, a long dam of water on the Letaba river and alongside a beautiful low range of sandstone koppies.

The dam wall is more that 500m wide and the dam stretches a few kilometers upstream. This dam is recommended for winter game spotting, because it is a permanent waterhole in an area where water is scarce in the winter times. There are usually crocodiles and hippo below the damwall, and herds of animals often come to the water during the day.
