South Africa
des couleurs inoubliables

West of Cape Town is a quaint little fishing town called Hermanus, home to whales who annually return to it’s waters when they are calving. It is also home to the Hermanus Golf Course which is equally impressive!

The course is a 27-hole Parklands type course with Kikuyu fairways and Bent grass greens. It was first only 18 holes until South Africa’s premiere course architect, Peter Matkovich, played an important role in upgrading it to it’s now impressive 27 holes. The new 9 holes offer a modern yet classical design that challenge pro’s and give an unsurpassed reward to amateurs.

The course doesn’t just challenge you, it also rewards you for just being there. You are rewarded with beautiful panoramic views overlooking the ocean. Adding to the charm of the course is also the ability to see the seasonal whales splashing about as you sink that put.

During the holiday seasons Hermanus’ population grows five fold, yet despite the extra players the course still holds its reputation for having amazing year round playing standards.

The Hermanus Golf Course is a course any holiday maker shouldn’t miss out on playing!
