Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport is situated just outside Mbombela (Nelspruit) in the Mpumalanga Province, South Africa.

The privately owned airport is managed by Primkop Airport Management (Pty) Ltd. The terminal building has a total floor space of 7350 square meters and was constructed with an African Theme.

There are daily scheduled flights from  JohannesburgCape Town and Durban. The Airport also receives passengers from Livingston Airport in Zambia and the terminal in total receives on average 22 000 passengers per month. Strategically positioned, it provides an essential passageway to places such as the Kruger Park, HazyviewGraskop and Sabie.

Climate

Nelspruit experiences its rainfall in the summer months with December and January seeing the highest levels.

Summer months, November to March will have average temperatures of between 17˚C and 29˚C.

Winter months, May to August will have average temperatures of between 7˚C and 23˚C.

Transport

Various forms of transportation to and from the airport would be shuttles, hired cars or taxis.

The airport has specified drop-off and pick-up areas and for those traveling with their own vehicles, 198 public parking bays are provided with 24 hour security. Tariffs are charged for parking facilities.

Travelers are advised to arrive one and a half hours before the departure of domestic flights.
