Klein Brak Beach in Klein Brak River, Groot Brakrivier, Wes-Kaap

Just outside the town of Mossel Bay, only 6 km’s away in Klein Brak River, lies one of South Africa’s newest and loveliest Blue Flag beaches, Klein Brak Beach.

Also known as Little Brak Beach, visitors are welcomed by an immaculate golden sandy beach, ideal for romantic walks and long lazy days of sunbathing! Klein Brak Beach is also another prime whale watching spot, during season, so bring along your beach chair and sit awhile watching out for a whale to breach while taking in the beauty of the natural surroundings which includes an abundance of bird life.

The beach is situated at the river mouth which makes it ideal for water sports such as wind surfing, canoeing, boating and fishing. Klein Brak is also the main swimming beach is this small coastal holiday spot. Animal lovers can bring along their best friends to the estuary however they are not allowed on the main blue flag section of the beach.

 Facilities include ample parking, picnic and braai areas as well as a restaurant and swimming pool adjacent to the beach.
