Nahoon Beach

Nahoon Beach in the Eastern Cape of South Africa is situated in the city of East London.

The beach is part of the pristine Baffalo City coastline which includes miles of sandy white beaches which are uncrowded and unspoilt. Nahoon Beach is the most popular beach in East London, a surfers’ paradise with big impressive waves and the famous Nahoon reef area is host to a few national surfing competitions.

The Nahoon River mouth is a favourite with fishermen and those wanting to swim in calmer waters. This beach is definitely one of East London’s most popular attractions.

Admission

The Beach is open every day of the year during daylight hours and there is no admission fee charged.

Climate

East London has rainfall in the summer months.

Summer months, November to March will have average temperatures of between 15˚C and 27˚C.

Winter months, May to August will have average temperatures of between 9˚C and 22˚C.

Transport

There are Domestic flights into East London Airport on a daily basis. Hotel transfers, taxis and car rental companies are available for easy access around the area.
