Eastern Beach in the Eastern Cape of South Africa is situated in the city of East London.

East London has a thriving beach culture with a beach to suit everyone. Eastern Beach is popular with the photographers because of its beautiful sand dunes, but still attracts the surfers with its awesome waves. It is popular also because of its location, close to the East London Aquarium and Marina Glen.

Take note that if you visiting during the Festive Season, this is “the” beach to be at on New Years’ Eve as it welcomes sometimes up to 400 000 party goers.

Admission

The Beach is open every day of the year during daylight hours and there is no admission fee charged.

Climate

East London has rainfall in the summer months.

Summer months, November to March will have average temperatures of between 15˚C and 27˚C.

Winter months, May to August will have average temperatures of between 9˚C and 22˚C.

Transport

There are Domestic flights into East London Airport on a daily basis. Hotel transfers, taxis and car rental companies are available for easy access around the area.
