Polokwane Bird and Reptile Park is situated in Polokwane in the Province of Limpopo, South Africa.

The park is one of the largest municipal reserves in the country and is home to over 280 bird species, both indigenous and exotic. The park also includes an aquarium and houses snakes, lizards, crocodiles and water birds. A popular feature of the park is the daily snake demonstration, fun and educational for all ages. The park is also known for it's beautiful picnic spots.

This is a tranquil and peaceful venue which can be enjoyed by the whole family.

Admission

Open daily between 07h00 and 17h00. 

R30 per person over the age of 12.

R20 per person under the age of 12.

Climate

Polokwane experiences rainfall mainly in the summer months with the highest occurring in December and January.

Summer months, November to March will have average temperatures of between 18˚C and 26˚C.

Winter months, May to August will have average temperatures of between 4˚C and 21˚C.

Transport

There are daily flights into Polokwane International Airport from O R Tambo Airport in Johannesburg. Car rental facilities are available.

Driving to Polokwane from Johannesburg will take approximately 3 hours along the N1.
