The Polokwane Golf Course is situated in Polokwane in Limpopo Province, South Africa.

The course is an 18-hole, 72 par bushveld course, 6253 m in length.

Designed by Peter Matkovich, the course offers three different tee options to cater for all levels of players. Fourteen water hazards can be found throughout the course.

Polokwane is known as the “home of Retief Goosen” one of South Africa’s finest golfers who perfected his talent on the fairways and greens of Polokwane. The Golf Course is home to the annual “Baobab” Tournament, held in the month of March each year.

Green fees vary from between R80 and R300. Prices are subject to change so it is recommended that interested parties contact the Golf Course directly.

Open

The Golf Club is Tuesday to Sunday and closed on Monday. Wednesday is Competition Day.

Climate

Polokwane experiences rainfall mainly in the summer months with the highest occurring in December and January.

Summer months, November to March will have average temperatures of between 18˚C and 26˚C.

Winter months, May to August will have average temperatures of between 4˚C and 21˚C.

Transport

There are daily flights into Polokwane International Airport from O R Tambo Airport in Johannesburg. Car rental facilities are available.

Driving to Polokwane from Johannesburg will take approximately 3 hours along the N1.
