Crocodile Bridge Gate

Crocodile Bridge gate is the most eastern entrance to the Kruger Park. It is located 12km from Komatipoort, the closest town to the main border gate between South Africa and Mozambique.

The Crocodile bridge area is a mixture of open grassland and dense thorn thickets. Its one of Kruger's driest area, receiving about half of the average Park rainfall.

The Gate is named after the Crocodile River, which forms the southernmost boundary of the Kruger Park. The river gets its name from the number of crocodiles that is has and would certainly be one of the most dangerous to try and wade across.
