Montagu Capedry Farmstall in Montagu, Western Cape

in 1991 Lizbe Viljoen started selling dried fruit and nuts and the Capedry product range grew at an exceptional rate forcing Lizbe to build a bigger Factory shop in 2007 which now services customers from all over the world.

Although we specialise in Cape Peeled Peaches, a diverse range of locally produced dried fruit products such as Apple rings, Pears, Pitted Prunes and Royal Apricots are also sold at factory shop prices. We also sell a wide selection of other locally produced products from the Montagu area such as homemade jams, chutneys, rusks, biltong, droëwors, olives and olive oil at affordable prices.

The farmstall also stocks a selection of different Red Bush Teas, as well as the more popular Agulhas Honeybush Tea. Fresh seasonal fruits can also be bought directly from our annex farm La Providence.

Wine Boutique

Our Wine Boutique stocks a large range of wines from Montagu and the Breede River Valley, all available at cellar prices.

Bistro

Our Bistro is the ideal place to stop for the perfect breakfast, lunch, cakes or pastries.

Tractor Trip

Every Saturday and Sunday at 11h00, the tractor departs from the Capedry parking lot and makes its way through the La Providence Dried Fruit Farm.

The trip is completely FREE and is available to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. The duration of the trip is approximately 30 minutes, which allows just enough time to drive past the orchards, the drying lanes and the plant itself, where we recently installed our brand new “Stoning Plant”, with the Pitting Machine imported all the way from Italy.
