Mtunzini Golf Course in Mtunzini, KwaZulu-Natal
A drive through the stunning village of Mtunzini, will ultimately lead you to the Mtunzini Golf Course. Since it is perched high up on a hill, it boasts beautiful panoramic views of both the Umlalazi Reserve Lagoon and the Indian Ocean beyond.
The course is an 9-hole (18 Tee Boxes) Parklands SAGA-affiliated golf course that offers magnificent views of scenery at every stop. The course is approximately 5998 m in length as it meanders through thick coastal forest awash with birds, monkeys and the occasional red duiker adding to the challenge! There are no water hazards on the course, but don’t let this fool you because an off-course ball may be unplayable.
The scenic fairways are flanked by indigenous vegetation adding to the natural splendour but helps avoid losing your ball by gaining an accurate tee-off. The course is home to a number of animals making your trip here feel like a trip into nature.
The course allows members and non-members to enjoy other sporting facilities nearby as well, including a gym and a tennis court. Thus, making this a great place for anyone visiting the area and wanting to make the most out of a sunny day out in the clear country air!
