Lowveld View

From the Lowveld View Site paths lead to the edge of the 16km canyon giving one an awe inspiring view. This flat rocky mountain top appears to be only a little lower than the canyon peaks at an altitude of 1219m.

Far below the Blyde River winds along the rocky canyon floor like an enormous green snake, eventually flowing its way into the Blydepoort Dam.

The upper rocks are covered with vivid lichen whilst dense vegetation with moss and ferns fill the deep krantzes.
