Découvrir l'Afrique du Sud
Sors ta tête du sable

Clovelly Beach is a small unspoilt beach, situated on the False Bay coast line in Fish Hoek. It is directly connected to Fish Hoek Beach and is a favourite among the locals for early morning leisurely strolls.

Clovelly Beach is a wonderful family beach where the water is slightly warmer than at other Cape Town beaches and where a small offshore ridge offers perfect waves for beginner and junior surfers. It is also a great launch spot for sea kayaks.

Here Dolphins can be spotted in the surf and whales frequent the shallow waters from June to November. Clovelly made international headlines in 2011 when a British man was bitten by a shark in the waters here, so it is best to be cautious and always adhere to any shark warnings that may be posted.

Clovelly Beach is a pretty stretch of soft white sand with a mountain for a backdrop which offers a quieter alternative to the Fish Hoek side of the beach. It may not be as busy, but on a good beach day, we suggest getting their fairly early to make sure you get the perfect spot!
