Franskraal Beach is only a few kilometres from central Gansbaai along the R43. An endlessly sandy beach that runs towards the Uilkraals Estuary, this beach is well-known as a birding hotspot!

Not only is Franskraal Beach beautiful, but you are also bound to see some interesting bird species in the area so keep your cameras handy. The rock pools are packed with some amazing sea life and will keep old and young entertained for hours. This is the perfect beach to do a spot of snorkelling!

Franskraal Beach is a nice, quiet and peaceful beach. If you are looking for a relaxing day out this is the beach to choose. Lie back and watch the kids play and the fishermen on the rocks as they cast out to try get the catch of the day. This lengthy beach also allows for great jogging opportunities and long walks.

At the beginning of the beach you will find rocky outcrops and the rock pools, have you nets at the ready when you arrive! Parking is provided at the end of Seaview Drive.
