Veyane Cultural Village in iSimangaliso Wetland Park, KwaZulu-Natal

Veyane Cultural Village can be found 5 km outside St Lucia, about 78 km from Richards Bay and 260 km from Durban.

This Zulu Village can be found on the southern periphery of the Isimangolisa Wetland Park and offers tours and accommodation in a real working Zulu community. Here tourists can learn about the Zulu Traditional Healers and their remedies, indigenous plant life, myths, legends, coming of age ceremonies and Ubuntu. Visitors will experience traditional food and tribal dance customs.

Climate

St Lucia has a warm climate throughout the year with cooler evenings in the winter months and summer time rainfall.

Summer months, November to March will have average temperatures of between 19˚C and 29˚C.

Winter months, May to August will have average temperatures of between 11˚C and 23˚C.
