S30
Salitje Road

The S30, Salitje road turns off the H12, just after the bridge over the Sabie River. The road is named after the Shangaan chief who ruled the area just before the ground was proclaimed.

The S30 follows the Sabie riverbank and Elephants and Waterbuck can often be seen on the riverbed. After a few kilometers the road turns away from the river into mixed woodlands and then towards grassland plains.

The Salitje Road is well known for great Lion sightings and Hyeana can often be seen along this road as well.
