Anna Ledeboer's grave in Northern Region, Kruger National Park, Limpopo

Leonard Henry Ledeboer came from Holland as a young man in 1888. He hunted elephants with such well-known characters as Frederick Courtney Selous.

He became one of the early rangers of the future Kruger National Park in 1919, and was to later relieve “Ou Kat” Coetser at Satara.  When he retired to Letsitele he ran a small store.

Anna Maria Christina Ledeboer (nee Bindermann) who was his second wife, died unexpectedly of either a heart attack or of malaria and is buried just west of the confluence between the Letaba River and the Makhadzi Spruit.

Her grave lies at the end of the 3rd turn off on the S62.
