Pearl Bay Beach in Pearl Bay, Yzerfontein, Western Cape
Pearl Bay Beach can be found in the fairly newly developed southern part of Yzerfontein. This small harbour village is only 80 km from Cape Town and serves as the perfect getaway destination if you looking for tranquility and relaxation.
The beach is backed by seacliffs and offers excellent views of Dassen Island, the Atlantic Ocean and even Table Mountain. Both sunsets and sunrises are exquisite and the beach is pristine, unspoilt and secluded, literally “postcard pretty”.
Walking along the white sandy beach, you may encounter Anglers on the waters’ edge or spot fishermen out in boats catching snoek or crayfish. The powerful Atlantic current also makes Pearl Bay Beach a prime surfing spot, but there are no crowds and sunbathers are free to rest peacefully in in the year round sunshine! In season you may even sight some of the gentle giants that grace the water close to the shoreline.
